Mt Washington Residence

In this residence, the client started with a very small kitchen (maybe 100 SF) with a tiny window over the sink. They view out this window was remarkable, so they wanted to wanted to make it a focal point.

We tore out a wall between the kitchen and the dining room, and then ordered two custom panes of glass about four feet across to completely open up the view for them.

Then we custom built frames for these windows. On the outside of these windows was a 35 foot drop, so we had to proceed in such a way that would allow us to do all of the work from the inside, which took some creativity on our part.

In addition to the windows, we added new quartz countertops, an island with a top and “waterfalls” on the sides, and all new cabinetry. Of course, we cut through the floor to move electrical and plumbing, and installed some new recessed lighting. Now they have a breaktaking view!
